Initiated 2007, Tisna Sanjaya Cigondewah culture Centre project is underpinnedd by an imperative for the community.This publication gathers writings and documentations produced up 2012.Sosial concerns and situations direct artistic collaborations, and site specific productions are key strategies deployed for Cigondewah.While locating the primacy of site and ists community, Tisna remains intropective in his attemps to reconcile community with authorial interests.
tisna countinues to mobilise resources including his own to the continuing growth of the centre.
Projects around the cultural Centre are conceived along a cooperative model that facilitates a network of peoples (from local administrators to artists to youth groups0 and their varied interests, unrestrictive in its blending of high and popular arts, religious, abd carnivalesque contexs, politics and counter cultures - a Centre that is to insistst its rootedness to the locale, and activism that is to be defined by collective ourpose and transformation.
