stroom(eng, flow,current,flood,electric power) is the vital center of contemporary visual arts in the Hague fostering a wide range of activities. This varies from initiating public art, organising exhibitions and lectures, providing subsidies and studios for the local artists and composing a library and publications.
Stroom's policy is fleible and dinamic and open to a variety of trens and related disciplins.Since art should never slip into a situation where it is taken for granted, artistic boldness and research are stimulated here. Based o this attitude, stroom tries to create an expansive and continually changung climate for art, together with artist and art institutions from The Hague.
One of our tasks is to create a policy for publick.But you can ask yourself if public spaces are really suitable for art.
